Obituary

Benjamin Franklin Bennett, of Harrison, AR passed away Sunday, April 6, 2008 at Hospice of the Hills Hospice House in Harrison.

The son of Ben and Goldie (Gillisipi) Bennett was born in Nebraska City, NE.

He was a U.S. Army veteran during the Korean War. He moved to this area in 1985 from Nebraska and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. He also worked for the City of Harrison Water Department.

His parents: his wife, Dorotha (Reed) Bennett; two sisters and two brothers, preceded him in death.

Survivors are his son, Benjamin Franklin Bennett, III, of Van Couver, WA; his daughters, Rachel Larimer, of Compton, AR, Faye Tanksley, of Capps, AR, and Frances Davis of Michigan; brother, Robert Willie Bennett, of Norton, KS; sister, Goldie Zanatta, of Kansas City, KS; five grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.

Visitation was Tuesday, April 8, 2008 with service following Wednesday, April 9, 2008, at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Harrison with Rev. Heath Kirkpatrick officiating. Burial is next to his wife in Maplewood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Aaron Swartz, Jim Mathis, Keith Lovejoy, David Tanksley, Donnie Lynn Larimer, and Mike Trussell.
