Barry Leroy Werner, of Harrison, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at Hospice of the Hills House.  He was 77 years old.

The son of George and Pearl (Juhl) Werner was born on November 18, 1946 in Fairmont, Minnesota.

Barry was a distinguished United States Marine Corps veteran who honorably served in Vietnam. An avid outdoorsman, he found great joy in hunting and fishing. Above all, Barry was a devout Christian whose unwavering faith guided his life and actions. His love for telling "punny" stories added a special touch of humor to his interactions. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and cherished friend, Barry touched many lives with his warmth and compassion.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Bonnie Osterdyk; brother-in-law, John Osterdyk; one son-in-law, Curt Anderson; and one sister-in-law, Judi Werner.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Barbara Werner; four children, Shawnna Werner, Leslie Anderson, Karen Donais and husband, Eric, and Perrin Werner and wife, Jodi; eight grandchildren, Israel, Isabel, and Beryl Anderson, Gabrielle "Gabby", Olivia, and Landon Donais, and Elanor and Joanna Werner; five brothers, Byron Werner and wife, Donna, Bill Werner, Bob Werner and wife, Pat, Jim Werner and wife, Ila, and Jerry Werner and wife, Julie; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be September 28, 2024, with visitation starting at 10:00AM followed by the service at 11:00 AM at Eagle Heights Baptist Church.  A luncheon will be served immediately following the service.

A service will also be held on October 12, 2024 with visitation at 10:00 AM followed by the service at 11:00 AM with a luncheon following all at Princeton Evangelical Free Church in Princeton, MN located at 12140 317th Ave NW, Princeton, MN 55371.

A private family ceremony will be held on October 14, 2024 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN
