Obituary
Barbara Joan Chubbuck Wheeler, age 79 of Alpena, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2018 in Harrison, Arkansas.
The daughter of Charles Edward Chubbuck and Barbara "Juanita" Hallfrisch Bryan was born on December 2, 1938 in Duluth, Minnesota.
Barbara was a member of Alpena Methodist Church and was a member of the United Methodist Women's Group and the American Legion. She spent much of her time volunteering and helping other people.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl Wheeler and a daughter, Barbara "Tina" Lambright.
She is survived by two daughter, Dawn Barnes and Shelly Burns; a sister, Darlene Olson and her husband Darrold; 2 sons-in-law, Les Burns and Richard Barnes; 8 grandchildren, Michael, Rachelle, Gregory, Laura, Gary, Stephanie, Lisa and Carl; 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and other family and friends who will mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 10:00 am at the Alpena Methodist Church with Lanny Younger officiating. Burial will follow at Alpena Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Harrison.
Pallbearers include Les Burns, Richard Barnes, Gregory Smith, Michael Smith, Darrel Smith, and Derrick Bingham. The honorary pallbearer will be Darrold Olson.
The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Hospice of the Hills.
