Obituary
Ava G. Brown, age 90 passed away at her home in Wayton on Sunday, June 1, 2008.
She was born Oct. 10, 1917 at Shawnee, Oklahoma, the daughter of Everett and Leona (Melton) Legg.
Mrs. Brown was retired as a business office secretary and moved to this area from Shawnee, OK in 1983. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Jasper and was a Sunday School teacher for 30 plus years. She was a homemaker and also a member of a craft club and enjoyed making different crafts.
Her parents preceded her in death along with her husband, Kenneth Brown in 1993. Also three sisters and two brothers preceded her.
Survivors include her son and his wife, Ronnie and Sue Brown of Wayton; one sister and her husband, Lora and Howard Thompson of Shawnee, OK; three grandchildren, Keith Brown and his wife, Heather of Wayton, Jennifer Price and her husband, Robert of Fayetteville, and Julie Brown of Springfield, MO; three great grandchildren, Kaleb Brown, Tanner and Eli Price; and many other relatives and friends.
Services for Mrs. Brown will be Wednesday, June 4th at 1:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church in Jasper with Bro. Manuel Macks officiating. There is no scheduled visitation. Burial will be in Snow Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Keith Brown, Robert Price, Erbie Daniels, Jim Randy Laverty, Bill Willis and Ron Wrisinger. Honorary pallbearers are grandchildren, Jennifer, Julie, and Heather; and great grandchildren, Kaleb Brown, Tanner and Eli Price.
Family request that memorials be made in her memory to the Deer School Scholarship Fund, Box 56, Deer, AR 72628.
