Obituary
Audie Yancey, age 85 of Bentonville, Arkansas passed away Monday, November 24, 2008 at Bentonville Manor in Bentonville.
The son of William and Minerva Yancey, he was born June 14, 1923 at Snowball, Arkansas.
Audie had lived in Wichita, Kansas for twenty-three years, before moving to Bentonville, where he had lived for twenty-nine years.
His parents, four brothers and three sisters, all preceded him in death.
Survivors are his wife, Edith (Harris) Yancey of the home; daughters, Margie Ewing and her husband, John of Andover, KS, Margaret Kaufman and her husband, J.B. of Wichita, KS, Sherry Winn and her husband, Eric also of Wichita, KS, and Kathy Petersen and her husband, Jerry of Derby, KS; sons, Joe Yancey of Rogers, AR and Jerry Yancey of Malvern, AR; brother, Bill Yancey of Bentonville; fifteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
There was a funeral service for Mr. Yancey Saturday, November 29, 2008 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Harrison. Burial followed in Dongola Cemetery at Snowball. Rev. Glenn Crenshaw officiated. Pallbearers were Bobby Seacat, Steve Church, Cody Yancey, Matt Cline, Tim Petersen, John Ewing, J.B. Kaufman, Eric Winn, Jerry Petersen, Adam Yancey, Chris Kaufman, and Wade Bullard.
