Gene Harris age 77 of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at his home in Harrison.

The son of Thomas and Pally (Youngblood) Harris was born March 19, 1938 in Murray, Arkansas.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Dorothy Vanderpool and Eileen Manning; his brothers Robert, Marvin, Rufus, Earl and Jessie; his daughter, Darlene Harris; and his daughter-in-law, Cheryl Harris.

Gene was a member of Capps Full Gospel Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and carpentry work. He played the guitar and sang and he and his wife Cora enjoyed going to camp meetings. He also enjoyed mowing his yard.

He is survived by his wife Cora (Trammell) Harris of Harrison; his sons, Randy Harris of Fort Smith, AR and Mike Harris and wife Mary of Lowry City, MO; his brothers, Riley Harris and wife Billie of Collins, MO, Ed Harris and wife Bunny of Collins, MO, and James Harris and wife Nova of Arma, KS; and his sisters, Elvie Cain of Lewisburg, KS and Suzie Champlin of Phoenix, AZ.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Timmy Harris and wife Sabrina, Brandon Gene Harris, Carrie Harris, Johnathan Harris, Elizabeth Harris, Preston Harris and wife Candace, and Jeannia Harris; great- grandchildren, Indy Gene Harris, Cooper Harris, Natalie Harris, Dayton Harris, Johnette Harris, Jasilyn Harris, Zachary Harris, Natalie Harris, Xavier Harris, Rayanna Harris, and NiLee Harris; step-great-grandchildren, Lexis Harris, Ethan Harris, Mercedes Harris and Seth Harris; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Memorial service was 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Capps Full Gospel Church with James Compton officiating.
