Arlie Ray Rylee of Shiloh Mountain passed from this life on July 30, 2026, with his children by his side. 

The son of Sherman and Leta Rylee was born on December 2, 1939, in Murray, Arkansas.

Ray enjoyed hunting, fishing, and target practice. He had exceptional marksmanship; he enjoyed writing poems and songs, visiting with family and friends, and spending time with his dog Buddy.

Ray spent his life in Newton County except for a short time when he moved to Kansas for work.  He returned to Newton County on June 1, 1970, and purchased his home on Shiloh Mountain.

Ray is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Goldie Marie Daniels Rylee, daughter Melessa Jane Rylee, and brothers Coy Rylee and Clifford Rylee.

Ray is survived by his daughters Roshell Lutz and husband John of Shiloh, AR,  Camella Stephenson and husband Mark of Strafford, MO, his sister Wanda Schiffman and husband Glenn of Springdale, AR, his grandchilcren Luke Lutz and wife Tori, and April Clune and husband Darin, four great grandchidren, Michal, John, Evie and Anna, special nieces Ollie Poo (Lauren Cannon) and Alisha Martin, sister in laws, Nina Lee Rylee and Jackie Rylee, and a host of firends and nieghbors that will mourn his passing.
