Arlene (Morrison, Gregory, Blair) Still, passed away August 21, 2014, at the age of 98, at Hillcrest in Harrison, Arkansas.
Arlene was born June 16 1916 in Throckmorton County, Texas. The second child of William "Billie" and Edna (Lusk) Morrison.
Arlene married Leroy Gregory (deceased) 1933 in Throckmorton, Texas. They had four children Dorothy, Glenna, Elmer "Bud", and Billie Inman (stillborn).
Arlene married W.E. Blair (deceased) 1947 in Throckmorton, Texas. They had two children Jorli "Joe" and Vickie.
Arlene lived in Throckmorton, Texas until 1949, when she moved to St. Joe, Arkansas where she lived until she entered Hillcrest Home in Harrison, AR. She was happy to live in Arkansas, the beautiful part of the country with all the rocks and trees. She was an original member of the St. Joe Church of Christ. She owned and operated the "Trash Plus" shop in St. Joe for many years. She also wrote the St. Joe news for the Marshall Mountain Wave until losing her eyesight.
Arlene met and married Ralph Still on April 16, 1963. They lived on his parents farm until moving to St. Joe to run the "Trash Plus" shop. She was the mother of six children, Dorothy (Gregory) Henley (deceased), Glenna (Gregory) Baker of Harrison, Elmer "Bud" Gregory of St. Joe, Billie Inman Gregory (deceased), Joe Blair of St. Joe, and Vickie (Blair) Hall of Missouri. Step-mother of four children, Kenneth, Wanda, Dona, and Charles "Chuck" Still. Grandmother of 15, great-grandmother of 32, and great-great grandmother of 23.
Funeral service was held Saturday, August 23, 2014 at the St. Joe Church of Christ with Jerry "Cub" Scott officiating. Burial followed in Still Cemetery in Tomahawk.
Pallbearers were Tony Gregory, Keith Blair, Lincoln Baker, Justin Waldon, Jeff Evans, and Donnie Baker.
Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Amanda Chitsey and all grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
