Arlene Jenkins Crawford, 78, of Harrison went to be with the Lord on December 16, 2022. She was born December 1, 1944, in Colorado to Charles Garner and Irene Elizabeth Blazer Jenkins.

Arlene married Oba Gene Crawford on August 26, 1961, in Flippin, Arkansas and was baptized into Christ at the age of 26.

Arlene is survived by her children and their spouses: Karen Crawford Simpson, Jeff and Rhonda Crawford, Marcus and Amanda Crawford, Andy and Delora Crawford, Kirk and Shannon Delk. Grandchildren: Jordan, Audra, Reese (Jessica), Andrea, Hannah, Halle, Brayden, and Jeremiah. Great grandchild: Sterling. Sister: Carolyn (Wayne) Wallace. Sisters and brother-in-law: Betty, Ray and Connie, Nora, Betty Ann and Ushie, along with many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene, her parents and siblings: Virginia, Sid, Dwight, Billy, and Helen.

Arlene enjoyed sewing, painting, which she learned later in life, sports, and animals. She had lots of fond memories of spending time with family and friends riding horses, coaching T-Ball, playing cards, and being a second mom to her numerous nephews, nieces, and the many friends of her children. She loved her family and was always the biggest fan of her children and grandchildren, unless she was competing against them. Although she did not graduate high school, she later attended college and made sure her kids went to college. During her life, she worked at Mar-Bax Shirt Co., Baxter Labs, and retired from serving as secretary for the Bellefonte church of Christ, where she was a member.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bellefonte Church of Christ building under the direction of the Coffman Funeral Home. Visitation will precede the funeral beginning at 12:30 and burial will be immediately following at the Kirby Tucker Memorial Cemetery in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
