Obituary

Antone "Tony" Valentin, of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, August 5, 2021 at the age of 89.

The son of the late Julian and Juanita Jean (Torres) Valentin was born on November 8, 1931 in Kauai, Hawaii. He has spent the last 47 years living in Harrison and Hawaii.  He retired from Acme Uniform Rental Company in Harrison and spent a number of years working for the Union in Hawaii.

Growing up in Hawaii, he loved to go wild boar hunting and fishing.  He was a beach boy, and loved surfing and was also a surf instructor for the tourists.

Tony loved his home church, New Testament/Dominion Life; he also loved to fellowship with his children at RPM, Believers Fellowship and Oak Lane Free Will Baptist Church.  He loved sharing his testimony of his walk with the Lord to everyone.

Tony was a loving and caring husband, dad, grandfather, great grand and great great grandfather.  He was protective of his family.  Tony loved life, he was always happy and loved joking with others.  He had a magnetic personality and anyone who met him loved him.

He looked forward to all of their family get-togethers which gave him a reason to cook. He was a wonderful cook, and could serve up a variety of dishes, including Hawaiian, Puerto Rican and Filipino foods.  Tony loved to share the Aloha and was all about his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Barbara; three brothers, Willis, James and Rudy; sister, Bella; daughter, Gwen Curtis; grandson, Robert Daniel Stacy and son-in-law, Arles Eldridge.
