Anne Fowler, age 76 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Bristol Pointe Health & Rehab in Harrison.

She was born September 13, 1934 in Kansas City, Missouri, a daughter of Clarke and Maude Connerly Fowler.

The family came to Harrison shortly thereafter where Anne attended school and graduated from Harrison High School in 1952.

Anne attended Texas Christian University and Oklahoma State University where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in political science.
She retired from the Social Security Administration in December 1989, after 32 years of employment. After her retirement, Anne retured to the family home in Harrison.

Anne enjoyed classical music, visiting museums and was an avid reader.

She was a member of the Ozarks Arts Council and friends of the Library. She loved her feline friends, giving shelter to many strays.

She is survived by her sister, Audra Marie Kramer of New York; two nieces, Jean Goldson of East Greenwich, R.I. and Joyce Woodworth of Oakfield, N.Y. and several cousins.

Cremation and arrangements are being handled by Coffman Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Ozark Humane Society, Lyric Theater, Boone County Library or Ozark Arts Council.
