Anna Mae Williams, age 81 of Hot Springs, Arkansas passed away Saturday, March 24, 2012 at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital in Hot Springs.
She was born December 1, 1930 in Bergman, Arkansas to Walter and Lenora (Cook) Kirk.
Anna graduated from Bergman High School, married Frank Williams and they moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where she worked for Warren Petroleum Company until retirement. She and Frank moved to Hot Springs, Arkansas in 1982 and bought a home on Lake Hamilton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank Williams; a brother, Buford Kirk; and a sister, Bonita Jones.
She is survived by her sister, Juanita Butler of Russellville, Arkansas; her brother, J.S. Kirk of Tulsa, Oklahoma; sisters, Emma Hancock of Bentonville, Arkansas and Dorothy Moore of Harrison, Arkansas. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Anna loved the horse races and had not missed an opening day (until this year) in 50 years. She enjoyed entertaining and having family and friends in her home.
Anna was a member of Bergman Methodist Church.
She had no children of her own but was especially caring to her many nieces and nephews, who loved her dearly.
Memorial graveside service will be held at York Cemetery in Bergman at 11 A.M. Saturday, April 14, 2012.
Local arrangments are being handled by Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
