Obituary
Ann Margaret Matheny, 74 of Green Forest, Arkansas passed away Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Mount Vista Health and Rehab in Harrison.
The daughter of John Charles and Pearl Ann (Koeller) Rankin was born April 17, 1943 at Santa Monica, California.
Ann was a resident of Green Forest for the last 14 years, moving from Silver Peak, Nevada. While in Silver Peak, she was on the Esmeralda County School Board from 1981-89 and 2001-02 and retired from the US Postal Service after 20 years as a postal carrier.
She enjoyed quilting, bead work and crafting. She loved helping others and made sure no one went hungry. She was a humanitarian and was always passionate about the needs of others. Ann was a loving, strong and devoted mother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Lawrence Matheny, a son, Daniel Matheny, a sister, Patty McLain and a brother, Allen Trepp.
She is survived by her son, Donald Kent Matheny and a daughter, Caterina Carol Matheny both of Harrison and a host of other cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who loved her and will miss her.
At Ann's request there will be no services.
