Anita Mae Cook, age 77 of Harrison, passed away Monday, January 17, 2011 at Bristol Pointe Nursing Home in Harrison, Arkansas.
The daughter of Floyd Walton and Myrtle (Gibson) Walton was born May 21, 1933 in Pruitt, Arkansas.
Anita was a member of the Union Baptist Church and a lifetime resident of Harrison.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her little sister, Barbara Sue Walton; and her first husband, Dale Hardy.
She is survived by her husband, William E. Cook of the home; sons, Mike Hardy of Walters, Oklahoma, William Eddie Cook and wife Ann of Harrison; daughters, Pam Hardy Holmes and husband Sam of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Judy Lindstrom of Oklahoma City, OK, Dawna Lowe and husband Bill of Harrison; brothers, Leo Walton, Bill Walton, and Donnie Walton; sisters, Evelyn Walton Colston, Katherine Walton Nance, Shirley Walton Cooper, and Wauhillia Walton Dotson; fifteen grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
Funeral service was Friday, January 21, 2011 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison with Reverend Darren Rogers officiating. Burial followed in Love Cemetery at St. Joe.
Visitation was Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers were be Anita's grandsons.
