Angela Kay "Angie" Williams, age 60, of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home.
She was born in Fort Madison, Iowa on December 12, 1964. Angie graduated from Lead Hill High School in 1983 and has lived in Boone County most of her life. She married the love of her life, Gene Williams, on August 7, 2004.
"Mrs. Angie" as she was known to students, was a dedicated employee at Omaha Schools for 30 years until her retirement in 2021. During that time, she worked as a bus driver for 26 of those years, and had the privilege of carrying 3 generations of families on her bus. She also worked as a paraprofessional at the high school, as well as kitchen cook and janitor.
Angie loved sewing, crocheting, and plastic canvas crafting. She loved the Lord and her family. She especially enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews. She particularly loved playing card games and board games and was known to be quite competitive.
She will be remembered for her loving and caring spirit. She was not a home body and loved to be out and going. Angie was always joyful and happy, and her presence will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Mary Cain; a sister, B.J. Rippenkroeger; grandparents, Ted and Mary Mehmert; grandma, Dovie Cain; aunt, Joanne Mehmert; mother-in-law, Martha Williams; and dear friend, Bev Stone.
Angie is survived by her husband of 20 years, Gene Williams, Jr.; her brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Tracie Cain; her sister and brother-in-law, Tracy and David Cash; nieces and nephews, Christie Davidson, Randy Rippenkroeger, Ciara Chaffin, Marisa West, Cameron Cain, Jessica Cash, Dustan Cash, and Bryce Cash; father-in-law, Roy Gene Williams, Sr.; sisters-in-law, Sabrina, Elizabeth, and Susan; brother-in-law, Shane; her fur babies, Cookie, JoJo, Munchiken, and Munchy; and dear friends, Martha Hicks, Holly Perry, and Sharla Mathes.
A celebration of Angie's life will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, April 19 (2025) at Omaha First Baptist Church. Pastor Gene France will officiate.
Memorial donations can be made to Coffman Funeral Home to help defray final expenses.
