Andrew Christian Burks, age 42, of Omaha, AR passed away Sunday, March 9, 2008 at his home.

The son of Ellis L. and Charlene M. (Cramer) Burks, was born November 29, 1965 in Kansas City, MO.

He moved to this area nine years ago from Springfield, MO. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Omaha and was a Sales Rep for MCI Phone Company. He enjoyed his church, being outdoors, working in flowers, making candles, and studing history. He also enjoyed sports, especially the Kansas City Chiefs.

His parents preceded him in death; along with his brother,
Charles R. "Chuck" Burks.

Survivors are his wife, Charee' Dawn Burks, of the home; son, Christopher Burks, of California; brothers, Mitchell Ellis Burks, of Irving, TX and Matthew Leon Burks, of Brookline Station, MO; sisters, Robin Gail Moberley, of Kearney, MO and Jamie Lynn Stanton, of Branson, MO; mother and father-in-law, Bob and Camilla Jones, of Jasper; brothers-in-law, Ken Jones and Brian Jones, both of Texas; and nieces and nephews.

Visitation was Saturday, March 15, 2008 before services at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Omaha Pastor Johnny Atchison officiated. Burial followed be in Nail Cemetery at Nail, AR. Pallbearers are Nathan Atchison, Doug Edwards, Tim Green, Roy Bishop, Mike Huffman and Todd Sims. Honorary pallbearers were Pastor Atchison and his wife, Karolyn, and Bud Poor.
