Andra Faye Dean, age 80, of Valley Springs, Arkansas, passed away surrounded by her family at Hospice of the Hills Hospice House on Wednesday, July 8, 2026.
The daughter of James Oscar Bryant and Maybell (Hollingsworth) Bryant was born in Baxter Springs, Kansas on May 12, 1946. She was a resident of Boone County most of her life and attended Olvey Christian Church. She retired from Mass Merchandiser’s/McKesson.
Andra enjoyed being outdoors. She loved fishing, driving the backroads looking for wildlife, and floating the river. She also enjoyed gardening and loved planting flowers everywhere. She was an avid collector of ceramic roosters.
Andra was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was fiercely protective of her family. She was physically strong, but she was also fearless, tough, and resilient. She cared deeply for her family and her friends. She delivered tough love, but that was her way of showing you just how much she loved you. Andra was loved by her family and friends, and she will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, James and Jack Hutcheson; four brothers, Willie, Leroy, Freddie, and Carl; a sister, Delpha; and a brother-in-law, Jimmie Joe.
Andra is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Darrell Gene Dean; two sons, Paul (Sherry) Hutcheson and Gene Dean; five daughters, Barbara (Rick) Crawford, Alma (Garry) Carlton, Mary (Joe) Cramer, Darla (Kenny) Malone, and Jennifer (Shawn) Campbell; a daughter-in-law, Ida Hutcheson; two sisters, Alma (Steve) Fox and her twin, Sandra Morrison; a sister-in-law, Jackie Blythe; a brother-in-law, Delbert Dean; 17 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Visitation will be on Friday, July 10, from 5 PM to 7 PM at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
Graveside service will be at 10 AM, Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Dees Cemetery in Bellefonte under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home. Pastor Darrell Still will officiate.
