Alvin L. Brantley, 77, affectionately known as "Buddy" to everyone in his hometown of Crossett, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2026, in Harrison.

He passed peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family—his wife, Patti, and his two sons, Paul and Eric.

Alvin served in the United States Navy as an advisor to the South Vietnamese Navy River Patrol.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Travis F. Brantley and Edith Faye (Standard) Brantley.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Patti; his sons, Paul and Eric; and his brothers and sisters, Cora, Travis, Roger, Wanda, Ricky, Tony, Tina, and Darren, along with extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.

A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held from 5 pm to 7 pm on Thursday, September 10, 2026 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.

At Alvin’s request, no formal funeral service will be held.

The family wants to extend a special thank you to Hospice of the Hills for the care they provided.
