Althea R. Leaf, age 92 of Bergman, AR, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at her home.
The daughter of Henry and Ruth (Bean) Blessing, she was born August 31, 1915 in Chicago, IL.
She had lived here since 1995, moving from Colorado. She was a member of Brand New Church at Bergman, past member of the Order of Eastern Star, and was a homemaker.
Althea was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Her parents preceded her in death, along with her husband, Ralph C. Leaf; a brother, Donald Blessing; a son-in-law, Don Cook; and two great grandchildren.
Survivors are her daughter, Judith C. Cook of the home; grandsons, Robert E. Cook and wife, Mary L. Cook of Bergman and Lee Cook and wife, Tina Cook of Colorado; granddaughters, CarolAnn Heginger of Harrison and Gail Goforth and husband, Richard and their family of Oklahoma. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Randy Cook of Bergman, RoseMarie Heginger of Harrison, Jessica Heginger of Iowa, and Joel, Kevin, Daniel, and Nathan Cook all of Colorado.
Visitation for Althea was Monday, July 14, 2008 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
Funeral services were Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at Brand New Church with Rev. Gerry Bryant and Rev. Fred Evans officiating. Pallbearers were Robbie Evans, Bruce Medley, Pastor Danny McMullen, Robert E. Cook, Cliff Methvin, and Billy Evans. Honorary pallbearers were Boone County Health Department In Home Care, Dr. Geoffrey Dunaway and staff, and her great grandchildren.
