Allon Loyd Callahan was born to his loving parents, Loyd and Patsy, in Orange, TX on July 10, 1964. In 1983, the family moved to Arkansas, where Allon made a life for himself full of music, art, and literature. A Marine Corp veteran, he traveled the country as a surgical technician, raised children, and worked at the University of Arkansas library. In recent years, he was living in a cabin he loved surrounded by trees in Parthenon, where he passed away on February 16, 2022.

He was preceded in death by his son, Adam; his father, Loyd; and his sister, Rachel, and his grandparents.

He leaves behind his daughter, Ashley Callahan of Harrison and her daughter, Molly, a son Mark and his children, Malachi and Mahera. They share their grief with his mother Patsy Callahan of Parthenon, sister Anna Callahan and her husband Tony Marks of Lead Hill, sister Becky Greenwood and her husband Michael Moore of Nixa, MO, as well as many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who became family.

A memorial service will be on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Parthenon Baptist Church at 11:00 AM

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Allon Callahan memorial scholarship fund for Newton County students of the Arts being set up at Anstaff Bank.

The family would like to thank the responding officers from the Newton County Sheriff's Office, coroner Cody Middleton, and Justin and Charlie from Coffman Funeral Home for all of their assistance and kindness through this.
