Alice Jo Williams, age 64 of Deer, AR, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, AR.

The daughter of Loyd Campbell and Freda (Smith) Campbell was born April 3, 1959 in Harrison, AR.

Alice was a member of Log Hall Church.  She worked at the Newton County Times for over 20 years and was the treasurer on the Newton County Fair Board.  She enjoyed quilting, baking, and canning.  She also loved to teach her nieces, nephews and grandbabies how to cook and bake. She was an advocate for many community benefits and fundraisers.

Alice will be missed by everyone who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Freda Campbell; her sister, Lisa Williams; mother-in-law, Imogene Williams and father-in-law, Finis Williams; two brothers-in-law, Bob Williams and Ronnie Williams; two sisters-in-law, Mary Taylor and Betty Yancey; her niece, Miranda Campbell; and her nephew, Justin Ricketts.

Alice is survived by her husband of over 33 years, Doyne Williams of Deer; her sons, Keith Williams and wife Jamie of Bass, AR and Joseph Williams and wife Kelly of Vendor; her daughter, Misty Smith and husband Jeff of Dover, AR; six grandchildren, Garret Williams, Macy Williams, Jaxon Williams, Michael McCutcheon, Kiley Smith, and Charlotte Williams; her father, Loyd Campbell of Vendor; her brothers, Ellis Campbell and wife Sherry, Richard Campbell and wife Mary, and Phillip Campbell and wife Julie; her sisters, Louetta Ricketts and husband Glen and Julie Black and husband Doyle all of Vendor; and a host of nieces, nephews and loved ones.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Log Hall Church with Brothers Austin Williams and Jimmy Bohannon officiating. Burial will follow in Ricketts-Campbell Cemetery in Vendor, AR.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, September 1, 2023, at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper.

Pallbearers are Shawn Ricketts, Chris Black, Brandon Campbell, Andrew Ricketts, Tyler Campbell, Bryan Williams, Chase Campbell, and Isaac Campbell.

Honorary pallbearers include Brandon O'Neal, Jared Wheeler, Ricky Ridenoure, Kylin Carlton, Calvice Casey, and Devin Davis.
