Alice Lavina Burdine Bryant, 93, of Jasper, AR, went home to the Lord on Sept. 30, 2026, at the home of her son, Franklin Bryant, of Dover, Arkansas. 

Alice was born on July 9th, 1933, in Vendor, AR, to Russell Burdine Sr. and Linda Davis Burdine.

After graduating from Deer High School, Alice moved to KC Mo and went to work for Standard Oil for 30+ yrs. Alice married Frank Bryant in 1952. They had one son, Franklin Alan Bryant. They resided in KC and, upon retirement, moved back to Newton County, Arkansas.

Alice kept busy for the Deer Water System as the Secretary and Treasurer for 40+ years. Alice loved her church, Deer Baptist Church, and attended every Sunday until she stopped driving.

Alice is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and siblings, William Burdine, Linda Lu Lloyd Burdine, and half-siblings Eugene Burdine, Clinton Burdine, Lela Burdine Kilgore, and Robert Burdine.

Alice is survived by her son Franklin and wife Gail Bryant, her two grandsons Dustin and Daniel and wife Chasity, her great-granddaughter Kaylynn, her great-great-granddaughter Paislee, her brother, Russell Burdine Jr., and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper, with Brother Jonathan Burdine officiating. Burial will follow in Crossroads Cemetery. 

Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 on Wednesday prior to the service.

Honorary pallbearers are Members of the Deer Baptist Church.
