Obituary

Alethea Patricia Seebach passed away on September 22, 2021, at the young age of 47. Alethea was born in Fairbanks, Alaska on September 29, 1973, to Susan and John Pierce Seebach Sr. She and her family moved to the Harrison area when she was 4 and she lived most of her life in the Ozarks.

She was so smart, witty, and had a keen sense of humor. The family gave up competing with her on Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, as we had no chance of winning. She was a voracious reader. The library was one of her favorite places. She loved taking walks with her son and her dogs, Hippie and later, Clover; picking blackberries; spending time at the Buffalo River, swimming, floating, or just taking in the beauty of the bluffs. She was always the first to jump in. She loved the water, hanging out with her family, playing games or enjoying participating in a 'Seebach hootinanny hoedown,' where she played a mean set of spoons and banging on a coffee can. She was a fanatic Chiefs and Razorback fan. She always cheered loudest when they scored and you always got a high-five, whether you wanted one or not.

Alethea's dad, John Seebach Sr, her grandparents, John and Bobbie Gregory, her uncle Richard Best, her aunt Linda Casey, and little dog Hippie, preceded her in death.

Left to celebrate her life and carry on her memory is her mother, Susan Seebach, her brothers and their wives, John Seebach Jr and Malinda Brown of Harrison, along with their children, Dylan and Logan; Jay and Maggie Bailey Seebach, their children, Winter and Truett of Monte Vista, Colorado; Jeffrey Seebach and Amanda Kuenzi of Durango, Colorado; and her husband, Michael Roland, and son, River Roland. River always made her eyes sparkle. She loved him so much and always said he was the best thing she did in her life. She was so proud of him.

Alethea is also survived by her Aunt Jerry Best of Fairbanks, Alaska and her children, Richard, Alan, Steven, Amber, and Melanie; and cousin Janzen Phillips of Seattle, Washington.

Alethea's leaving has left a hole in our family and in our hearts. We will have a private celebration of her life. Rest in Peace, Alethea.
