Obituary

Albert "Skip" J. Bright, age 66 of Harrison went to meet Jesus on Wednesday, September 23, 2009, surrounded by his loving family.

The son of Elmer D. and Nina Mae (Lenz) Bright, he was born July 26, 1943 at Dodge City, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer D. Bright.

He was of the Baptist faith and was baptized in his youth at the Erbie Community Church and led a Christian life, influencing many others to walk with Christ. He moved with his family to this area in 1956 from Dodge City, Kansas. They returned to Eastern Colorado in 1981 where he was a farmer and rancher. His family then moved back to the Harrison area and he was currently the broker for Bright Brothers Realty until his passing. He was also an auctioneer for HUB Auction. He served as past President of Harrison District Board of Realtors and served on the Arkansas Realtors Forms Committee.
His hobbies were gardening, geneology, and spending time in the outdoors.

He was married to his life-long sweetheart, Bonnie Jean (Martin) on October 31, 1962, she survives him. To this union nine children were born, two of whom are sons, Albert Bright, Jr. and wife, Lori, Alan Bright and fiance` Lacey Dean all of Harrison; daughters and their husbands, Lisa and Todd Fulton, Loretta and Steve Reddell, Lana and Rusty Sanders, Leah and Mike Willis, Lashana and Glen Nelle III, all of Valley Springs, Leslie and Michael Corley of Marble Falls, and Lyndsey and Trey Hardman of Harrison; his mother, Nina M. Bright; two sisters, Glenda Immer of Eudora, Kansas and Cindy Aiken of Green Bay, Wisconsin; two brothers, David Bright of Marble Falls and Charles L. Bright of Harrison; 14 grandsons, 13 granddaughters and a great grandchild expected in March.
Skip loved his family and treasured every moment they spent together.

Visitation was Friday, September 25, 2009 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison with service Saturday, September 26, 2009 at Valley Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Arthur Scott and Bro. Rick Posey officiating. Burial followed in Gaither Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Skips's sons-in-law, Todd Fulton, Steve Reddell, Rusty Sanders, Mike Willis, Glen Nelle III, Michael Corley, Trey Hardman, and his eldest grandson, Dustin Reddell. Honorary pallbearers were David and Charles Bright, Jeff Immer, Don Aiken, Gary and Rick Martin, Glenn Edmonson, Floyd Shook, Robert Baker, Jack Snow, Jerry Troglin, Ben Crow, Billy McGraw, and a host of other dear friends and family.

Family requests that memorials be made to the Hospice House, 501 E. Sherman Ave, Harrison, AR 72601.
