Albert Henry "Al" Bowden, of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Mount Vista Nursing and
Rehab at the age of 83.

The son of Whit and Edna (Capps) Bowden was born March 26, 1934 in Norfolk, Virginia.

Al had been a resident of Harrison for the past 12 years, moving here from Florida.   He was a veteran of the US Marine Corp. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and sports, especially football, baseball and boxing. He spent several years coaching his son's baseball teams when they were in school.

Al was a dedicated father and grandfather who loved his family. He was a hard worker whose morals and ethics were always a top priority.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Wynona Sue Bowden in 2013, two sisters, Joyce and Audrey and two brothers, Whit and Raymond.

Al is survived by his sons, Jeff Bowden and wife Robin of Harrison, Arkansas and Dan Bowden and wife Tanya of Cape Fair, Missouri; a brother, Stewart Bowden and wife, Jean of Newport News, Virginia; three grandchildren, Gabriel, Sarah and Tiffani; two great grandchildren, Kylee and Aiden and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives who loved him and will miss him.

Private graveside interment will be held at Maple Leaf Cemetery in Harrison at a later date.
