Obituary

Ada Magdalene Cash Watts, age 93, moved from her home in Harrison to her Heavenly Home June 18, 2015.

She was born at Richland on October 31, 1921 to Thomas G. Cash and Maude Hensley Cash. She received her education at Wyatt, Marshall and St. Joe. Ada married Audus Herbert Watts October 19, 1940. They enjoyed 59 years together until his death in 1999. Ada taught school at Shady Grove, Wyatt, Grandview and Mt. Hersey among others. After her teaching career she worked at Oberman's Manufacturing. She and her husband owned and operated a cattle farm for many years.

Ada was a devoted Christian. She was a member of Shady Grove Church, Tomahawk Baptist Church and attended churches in Harrison. She lived by the principle "It is better to give than receive". If you knew Ada, you knew the blessing of receiving. She had extravagant love for others. She made quilts for the graduate, the new bride and the shut-in or wheelchair bound. She made full meals and fabulous pies to give to others. She sent thousands of greeting cards, made and gave clothing and shared time and money with those she loved. She loved us all, family, friends and strangers. Her heart was big, but her generosity and love for others, even bigger.

Ada was a role model for unselfishness and kindness. We were all blessed by the presence of this wonderful woman, who cared for us all so very well.

In addition to her husband, Ada was preceded in death by two sisters, Dollie Taylor and Vada Campbell and four brothers, Woodrow Cash, Waldo Cash, Troy Cash and Leo Cash.

Left to cherish her memory is a sister, Grace Arnold of Lexington, Kentucky, many nieces and nephews, a host of friends and her loving caregivers, Crystal Wilson, Maudie Kiplinger, Kara, Kindall and Charity.

Services will be held Wednesday June 24, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Harrison with James D. Smithson officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday at 1:00 pm prior to the service. Burial will follow at Love Cemetery at St. Joe.
