Absalom Donald Baker, age 82, of Bartlett, Tennessee passed away August 3, 2012 at the St. Francis Bartlett Hospital in Bartlett, Tennessee.
He was born November 9, 1929 in Russellville, Arkansas to Ralph Sheridan and Chloe (Newton) Baker.
He was a Research Chemist and enjoyed reading.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Sherlene Baker.
He is survived by his wife, Mary (Walls) Baker of the home; 3 sons, Eugene Baker of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, Curtis Baker of Bartlett, Tennessee and Kenneth Baker of Bartlett, Tennessee; 1 brother, Devon Baker of Hot Springs, Arkansas; 1 sister, Janavee Tyner of St. Joe, Arkansas; 4 grandchildren, Kelly Baker, Kyle Baker, Josh Baker and Lisa Bunn; 2 great-grandchildren, Engie Baker and Brooklyn Bunn; and many other nieces and nephews and other family and friends who will mourn his passing.
Graveside services were held Monday, August 6, 2012 at Osborne Cemetery in St. Joe, Arkansas with Jerry Willis officiating.
Pallbearers were Kyle Baker, Josh Baker, Zach Eddings, Ty Eddings, Roy Nixon and David Sherman. Honorary pallbearer was Junior Eddings.
