Ova Roberta Ricketts, age 51 of Vendor, Arkansas passed away Thursday, January 29, 2009 at Jasper, Arkansas.

She was born March 9, 1957 in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Vernon Ray and Vela Lavern (Bolin) Campbell. She was a homemaker and had worked for Levi Strauss Company in Harrison anf for home health. She was a member of the House of Prayer in Piercetown and was a devoted Christian, very strong in her faith.

She was a a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. She had lived most of her life in Newton County.

Roberta was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Kennith Ricketts in February 2006. They were married on April 20, 1973 at Hasty, Arkansas.

Survivors are her children, Keith and Marla Ricketts of Mt. Judea and Nathan and Crystal Rciketts of Mt. Judea; her parents, Kay and Vela Campbell of Jasper; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Eric and Amanda Campbell and Preston and Brenda Campbell all of Piercetwon and Kent and Sharon Campbell of Jasper; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Glenda and Buddy Campbell of Mt. Judea and Janet and Rex Martin of Rogers; four grandchildren, Megan, Katelynn, Summer and Allec and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation was Sunday, February 1, 2009 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper. Funeral service was Monday, February 2, 2009 at the Jasper First Baptist Church with Leo Dye officiating. Burial followed in Smith Cemetery at Vendor. Pallbearers were Eric Junior Campbell, Rusty Campbell, Shane Campbell, B.J. Campbell, Skipper Ricketts, and Clayton Campbell. Honorary pallbearers were Buddy Campbell, Rex Martin, Joe Ricketts, Glen Ricketts, Jackie Ricketts and her nieces and nephews.
